''Car Town'' was a social network game developed by (Cie Games ). It allowed users collect and modify virtual vehicles. The object of the game was to win races and build a collection of vehicles. Car Town had many licenses for different brands, including the Indy Racing League, which allowed users to collect select Indy cars, Universal Studios, which gave the game a license to include the DeLorean time machine from the ''Back to the Future'' series,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Back to the Future Blasts Its Way Into Facebook Game ‘Car Town’ )〕 and fully customized cars from The Fast and the Furious series. Pirelli World Challenge and the National Hot Rod Association gave the game licenses to include their racing cars such as Funny Cars. Top Gear also gave a license to include their shows and videos, as well as a few exclusive vehicles. Aside from the aforementioned brands, the game also featured cars from famous motorsports around the world including 24 Hours of Le Mans, World Rally Championship, Formula D, Dakar Rally, FIA GT Series as well as one-make races such as Ferrari Challenge. Cie Games announced on July 29, 2014 that it would close the game on August 29, 2014. As of August 29, 2014, ''Car Town'' was discontinued. ==Gameplay== Players earned gold coins or blue points by performing jobs or taking on challenges. They were able to build their own garages with service bays to do more jobs, hire and interact with friends in the game and buy vehicles. Gameplay included the ability to take part in races, take road trips, or make deliveries. Players also had the ability to customize many of their vehicles. Many vehicles, such as the Nissan GT-R, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics, Mitsubishi Lancer WRC, Mazda Furai and the DeLorean time machine, were only able to be performance tuned. Some vehicles were permanently in the showroom, while others were limited-edition. Some licensing expired when the game's end was announced, including licenses for the Mercedes and Ferrari brands.
